Test Shoot: Charlie
It's not as if I don't have content. In actuality, I have content coming out of my ears, for use of a better term. There are hard drives of untouched, unearthed content just waiting to be shared with some kind of internet audience. No longer will these shoots be gaining dust because I'm promising to myself - and you guys for that matter - that I'll be posting them here.
An Insider’s Guide to Photographing Fashion Week
I’ve been photographing fashion week since the wee age of seventeen. I’ve captured the collections of designers such as Alex Perry, Jean Paul Gaultier, and Dion Lee. I‘m not going to lie and pretend to be humble about having done this. It’s pretty fucking cool.
Test Shoot: Sebastian
I took Sebastian to my favourite cafe, Chez Dre in South Melbourne. I have this awful habit of 'wining and dining' my models before we shoot. It kind of tends to ease any tension that's always associated with meeting a person for the first time, and it also provides for some good photo opportunities.
The problem for me right now is that I’m not quite qualified enough to get a job in the field that I’m studying. Even though I’m saving up for an overseas holiday with my best friend and need all the money I can get, I can’t get out of the rut that is: I’m just not passionate about what I’m doing with myself while I’m on holidays.
#Modellife: BTS RMIT Fashion Graduate Runway
Model life is considered to be beautiful boys and girls wandering around in designer clothes with perfect hair and makeup, legs for days and the perfect proportions, and it's refreshing to be reminded that it isn't really like that. There were no designer pink dressing gowns and champagne flutes backstage at last night's show, nor did the models have time to pose for me in between makeup artists and hair stylists attacking their heads with multiple products in a fine frenzy.
